Giving back this Holiday Season

As everyone knows, the Bruins are unstoppable on the ice, but when it comes to helping their community they're no different. The Bruins participated in the annual Shop For The Cause at Vineyard Vines in the Prudential Center. This charitable act benefits the Boston Bruins foundation which helps communities through athletics, academics, health, and community outreach. This event at Vineyard vines is one of many the Bruins have held during the holiday season as the continue to participate to give everyone a happy holidays. Taking Toronto

The Bruins are finishing up the month of November by facing the Toronto Maple Leafs for the third time this season. Although the leafs have had a pretty promising season thus far, our home town boys have proven that they are the best team in the league. In the past two match ups, the Bruins (surprise, surprise) won both games. In mid-October, big and bad topped the leafs to a 6-2 win with points from Nathan Horton, Zdeno Chara, Chris Kelly, Milan Lucic, Patrice Bergeron, and Tyler Seguin. This win gave the urge to get a shutout the next game and that's exactly what they gave Tim Thomas with a landslide 7-0 victory over Toronto. Although these two games showed the offensive power the Bruins have, the leafs aren't going to lead up on the Bruins. Toronto's offensive abilities with Phil Kessel leading the team and Phaneuf on the point will be a tough matchup for the Bruins but if the B's stay focused and play their game they have nothing to worry about. Tune into NESN tomorrow at 7:00pm to watch the Bruin's take on the Maple Leafs.
