This past friday, forward David Krejci signed a 3 year 5.5 million dollar per year deal with the Bruins to extend his current contract. This deal is one of the biggest the Bruins are undertaking this year with an increase in Krejci's already high salary. However, GM Peter Chiarelli found that this was essential to the Bruins success and Krejci is a great player that has shown an incredible impact on the Bruins roster. The value of David Krejci as a player is very high and although Krejci could have most likely gone to another team for more money, he chose to stay in Boston for less. Last year Krejci ended the post season with a team high of 62 points in the season, after stepping up to the plate due to Savard's unfortunate concussion Krejci has proven that he deserves every penny of that 5.5 million.
